In the news recently, yet another Calgary massage therapist has been charged with the SA of a client.
45-year-old Cristiano Potamianos RMT is alleged to have assaulted one of his clients during an appointment at Zen Massage (205-259 Midpark Way S.E.) in December of 2024. The victim reported the incident to police this past March, and following an investigation, Potamianos has been charged with one count of SA.
Potamianos is scheduled to appear in court on May 12th. Until then, Calgary police have asked that anyone with information on this incident or those similar contact them directly or anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
In Canada, there is no time limit for reporting SA. Whether it happened years, months, days, or hours ago, survivors can always report it and begin the process of securing justice and closure for what they have endured.
