Prime Minister Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka arrived in Indonesia last night for an official visit focused on strengthening the relationship between the two countries. Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was greeted with a ceremonial quarter guard of honour, symbolizing the warmth and respect exhibited by the Government and people of Indonesia towards Fiji.

The Fijian community in Indonesia also extended a traditional welcome to PM Rabuka, demonstrating their support for him during his visit. In his remarks, the leader of the Coalition Government expressed gratitude to the Fijian community for being outstanding ambassadors of Fiji overseas. PM Rabuka commended the community for their efforts in building strong interpersonal connections and encouraged them to keep promoting Fiji's values of peace, friendship, and unity. He also took a moment to thank the host country and its citizens for their generous hospitality towards him and his delegation upon arrival. "Please convey our sincere appreciation to the people of Indonesia for their warm welcome and for making you feel at home here," he added.
