Nigeria's U-20 national team, known as the Flying Eagles, achieved a 2-1 victory against Morak FC in a final preparatory match held in Abuja on Friday, prior to their departure for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The triumph was secured with goals from Kparobo Arierhi and Precious Benjamin, contributing to the success of Aliyu Zubairu's squad.
The seven-time champions are set to depart for Cairo, Egypt, on Sunday, where they will engage in two additional friendly matches next week.
In the tournament, Nigeria has been placed in Group B, competing against Tunisia, Kenya, and Morocco.
Their opening match will be against Tunisia in Cairo on Thursday, May 1st.
Following that, they will take on Morocco in Cairo on Sunday, May 4th, and will wrap up their group stage against Kenya on Wednesday, May 7th.
The top four teams from the tournament in Egypt will earn a spot in the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, scheduled to take place from September 27th to October 19th.
