The Ogun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has confiscated firearms, narcotics, and smuggled rice valued at over N314 million in various locations throughout the state.

Customs Area Controller, Mohammed Shuaibu, disclosed that the confiscated items included three single-barrel shotguns, 100 cartridges, 150 bags of Indian hemp, 7,242 bags of rice, 22 vehicles utilized for smuggling, and other illegal goods.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has taken possession of the cannabis, while the Command has generated N43 million from import duties and auction sales. Shuaibu called on the public to reject smuggling and assist in efforts to combat economic sabotage.
