NSCDC Discovers 228 Bags of Fluoride During Crackdown on Illegal Mining in Adamawa.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Adamawa State has recovered 228 bags of fluoride and 41 bags of carbon monoxide from two illegal mining operations in Dumne (Hong LGA) and Michika. DSC Nyako Baba, a spokesperson for the NSCDC, reported that the suspects fled the scene as officials approached, and no arrests were made.

Baba also announced that 100 personnel have been trained as mining marshals to bolster the fight against illegal mining activities. This operation is part of an initiative launched by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri to improve the integrity of the state's mining sector.
