The Sask. Party's budget, unveiled today, fails to address the future.
In reality, it completely disregards the current situation. This budget lacks a plan for our economy and ignores the challenges of the past three months. There are no protections in place for workers, producers, businesses, or industry against tariffs. Instead, it only includes cuts to healthcare and education. Scott Moe and the Sask. Party seem to be out of touch. This approach offers little reassurance to families concerned about job security and their future amidst Donald Trump's tariffs. Provinces like Alberta, New Brunswick, and BC have established tariff contingency funds to safeguard their interests. But what do we get? Just cuts to vital services like healthcare and education. It's astonishing—in the face of healthcare workers operating under dire conditions akin to a war zone, this government still chooses to cut funding! The Sask. Party cannot simply close their eyes and hope our issues will resolve themselves. They had a chance to pave the way for a brighter future in this budget. Instead, they are leading us backward.
