Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Commissioner and Retired Judge Maria Amifaith S.

Fider-Reyes attended the Department of Justice's flag-raising ceremony today as part of the ongoing celebration of National Women's Month. Her attendance underscored the DOJ's commitment to empowering women and promoting gender equality, in line with this year's theme, "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas."

The Department's Gender and Development and Special Protection Office (GSPO), led by Undersecretary-in-Charge Raul Vasquez and Assistant Secretaries Majken Anika Gran-Ong and Michelle Anne Lapuz, along with Assistant Secretary Eliseo Cruz and Chief State Counsel Dennis Arvin Chan, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Judge Fider-Reyes. This gesture reinforced the DOJ's acknowledgment of women's essential contributions to building a just and inclusive society, reflecting its broader efforts to promote gender-responsive governance and legal frameworks.
