**Tagish Fire Update - Wednesday, March 12, 3:30 PM**

- The situation at the Tagish Community Centre is now under control, although some hotspots may still be present.

- The Tagish Fire Department continues to monitor the site. We ask everyone to please stay clear of the debris area, which is marked off with yellow tape for safety.

- This morning, 28 firefighters from five volunteer fire departments, along with the Special Heavy Operations Team (SHOT), responded to the fire, and we are relieved to report that there were no injuries. Yukon EMS (local Tagish responders) provided essential medical support throughout the incident to ensure safety on the ground.

- The Whitehorse Fire Department is currently on-site conducting an investigation in conjunction with the Yukon Fire Marshal's Office.

**Tagish Fire Update - Wednesday, March 12, 12:15 PM**

- A fire was reported at the Tagish Community Centre this morning.

- Currently, teams from the Golden Horn Volunteer Fire Department, Marsh Lake  :-* Fire Rescue, Tagish Volunteer Fire Department, Carcross Volunteer Fire Department, and Mt. Lorne Volunteer Fire Department are present at the scene, accompanied by the Special Heavy Operations Team (SHOT). Yukon EMS is also on-site providing support.

- The structure was fully engulfed, and firefighters are actively working to extinguish the flames.

- We request that Tagish residents avoid the area until further notice. Please note that library services, which operate out of the Community Centre, are closed today.
