Six girls were taken into custody following allegations of possessing a firearm at a restaurant in Kelowna.

The Kelowna RCMP responded to reports of the incident at a restaurant located on Bernard Avenue near the waterfront at approximately 7:45 p.m. on February 28.
According to a statement released by the RCMP on Monday, "Several officers in both plain clothes and uniform attended immediately, and took six youth females safely into custody."
During the operation, officers confiscated a replica handgun, a prohibited weapon, pepper spray, and alcohol.
Authorities confirmed that the weapons were not utilized at the scene.
All six individuals were subsequently released to their guardians and parents.
The police indicated that they would be recommending criminal charges against more than one of the young women involved.
