In connection with a break-in and drug investigation, Toronto police are trying to locate four more individuals and have three people in custody.

According to investigators, on December 1, 2024, a number of suspects broke into an apartment building on Dundas Street West and Islington Avenue with a sledgehammer. No one was physically hurt in the flat, and no stuff was taken. According to police, three suspects broke into an apartment in the same neighbourhood two days later with a crowbar. Two people escaped the scene, but investigators were able to arrest one. Whitby resident Alden O'Neil Nunes, 45, was accused of six narcotics and break-in charges. Police found drug production equipment and about 5.5 kg of heroin and methamphetamines valued at $140,000 after searching the house Between December 4, 2024, and February 4, 2025, more searches of homes in the GTA and Montreal turned up more drugs and drug paraphernalia, break-in equipment, and $20,000 in Canadian cash. Shivansh Sharma, 34, of Kleinburg, and Inderdip Singh Sahota, 36, of Brampton, were detained during that time and are accused of ten narcotics charges in all. In relation to this inquiry, four other men are being sought by investigators.
