Male inmates staged a spectacular jailbreak before raping and burning alive over 100 women in the gruesome prison fire in the war-torn Democratic Republic of the Congo last month, according to survivors. Approximately 4,000 male prisoners escaped from the Munzenze jail in Goma during an attack on the city by M23 forces supported by Rwanda, resulting in the deaths of at least 153 women and up to 132 reported burning deaths.
