Man injured while trying to break up fight dies in Calgary hospital, charges pending.
A man died in a Calgary hospital after being hurt while attempting to break up a fight; charges are still pending. An assault at a restaurant in southeast Calgary claimed the life of a 24-year-old man.

According to authorities, a fight got out of hand when the victim attempted to break it up, as Adam MacVicar recounts. Charges are still pending in the homicide investigation of a man who died in the hospital after attempting to break up a brawl at a restaurant in the southeast of the city, according to Calgary police. The narrative continues beneath the commercial. At an after-hours gathering at Hdmona Restaurant earlier this week, the man sustained injuries. Around 6:20 a.m. on Monday, according to the police, a fight broke out between two guys as a group of individuals were inside the restaurant located at 2881 17 Ave S.E .
According to the police, a man who was trying to defuse the heated argument was hit in the head. The narrative continues beneath the commercial. It's unclear what condition he was in at this time, but according to police, the victim was taken to a Marlborough residence by two of his companions approximately forty minutes after the altercation, where a family member picked him up. When EMS discovered the man unconscious at 3:30 p.m on Monday, they transported him to the hospital.
Police say the victim, Adonai Tekle, 24, passed away in a hospital on Thursday. Although an autopsy has been performed, police did not disclose the cause or method of death of Tekle. According to Calgary police, one individual has been arrested by detectives and charges are still pending. The proprietor of Hdmona Restaurant, who is presently abroad, was interviewed by Global News.
She stated that her restaurant will be closed for the next three days due to the altercation that took place outside of it on Monday.
