President Emmanuel Macron called Saturday's knife attack in eastern France a "Islamist terror act," claiming one person was killed and two police officers were gravely wounded. Three other officers were reported to have suffered minor injuries in the Mulhouse attack, which was carried out by a 37-year-old suspect on the FSPRT, France's national anti-terror prosecutors unit (PNAT), which is in charge of the investigation. The suspect initially attacked the municipal police officers while yelling "Allahu Akbar" (God is greatest), according to the prosecution.
