Seven police policemen conversing while standing on a road source of the image, Israeli police said the explosion of three buses in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv, is a suspected terror attack. They stated that "large police forces are at the scenes, searching for suspects" and that the devices in two other buses did not explode. According to Israeli media, Transport Minister Miri Regev halted all buses, trains, and light rail trains nationwide so that explosives inspections could be conducted.

At least one bus is seen burning in a parking lot in social media footage, with a sizable smoke cloud rising overhead. Promotion No casualties have been reported at this point, according to the police. Aryeh Doron, a police spokesperson, stated that the "event is ongoing" and that police are currently looking for further devices around Tel Aviv. Doron told Channel 12 that the public has to be vigilant for "every suspected bag or object" and that "our forces are still scouring the area." "If it turns out that the terrorists set these timers to the incorrect hour, we might be lucky. However, it's too soon to tell," he stated. A 5 kilogram unexploded device with the inscription "Revenge from Tulkarem"—a reference to a recent Israeli military counterterrorism operation in the West Bank—was reported by local media. Defence Minister Israel Katz responded to the events in Bat Yam by saying he has given the military orders to "increase the intensity" of activity in the West Bank's refugee camps. According to a statement from his office, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was being briefed on the situation. According to the Kan public television, Miri Regev, the minister of transportation, has cancelled her trip to Morocco and is going back to Israel.
