Police bodycam film captures the moment in Lima, Peru, when cops conducted a cocaine raid while dressed as a capybara. During holidays like Valentine's Day, Halloween, and Christmas, the Peruvian National Police's Escuadron Verde (Green Squad) police group frequently disguises its officers in elaborate clothing. Col. Pedro Rojas, the unit's commander, stated: "We tried to disguise ourselves as the capybara on this Valentine's Day, or lover's day." In order to conduct a narcotics search, Peruvian police have previously disguised their personnel as Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, and Black Widow.
