Four charged with drug trafficking, attempted carjacking and stalking: OPP
Police say the suspects tried to remove the victim from the vehicle but got away, leading to a high-speed chase through heavy traffic.

THIS TWP. - Provincial police have charged four people, including a Barrie man, in connection with an attempted carjacking in Angus last week.
Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police announced the charges on Feb. 4 in connection with an incident that occurred on Jan. 30 and was being investigated by the Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU). On January 30 at 3:30 p.m., police said CSCU officers were in Angus when they observed a drug transaction between the suspects and the victim.
"The accused attempted to force the victim out of his vehicle, but were unsuccessful," Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release. "The victim fled in his vehicle traveling south on Mill Street in Angus.
"The accused pursued the victim at a high rate of speed, weaving through heavy traffic," police said. CSCU officers, with the assistance of frontline members, responded and arrested three people.
On February 3, police said a fourth suspect had also been arrested and was being held for a bail hearing.
Kelsey Lang, 29, of Cookstown, was charged with robbery with intent and released from custody with a court date of March 6.
James Hamilton, 28, of Innisfil, was charged with robbery with intent, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of driving with a suspended license. Hamilton was taken into custody for a bail hearing and later released, with a court date of Feb. 27.
Christopher Lang, 28, of Vaughan, was charged with robbery with intent and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine). Lang was remanded in custody for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear in court Feb. 4. Robert Palfrey, 62, of Barrie, was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine). Palfrey has been released and is scheduled to appear in court on March 13.
None of the allegations were proven in court.
