Tariffs imposed by the United States on Canadian exports will increase expenses for American people in addition to harming our jobs. For many years, Canada has consistently provided the United States with vital goods including electricity, lumber, and vital minerals. Price increases at the grocery store, gas station, home building, automobile industry, and every other aspect of daily life are caused by unfair trade barriers. In Washington, I emphasized that both Alberta and the United States gain from robust commerce. In order to preserve good jobs, reasonably priced housing, and shared economic growth, we must keep cooperating.
