With   more  than  1.2 million barrels.   It  is  expected  that  there  will  be  an  oil  refining  capacity  of  2 million barrels per day  in the   country.  Disputes  between oil producers and refinery owners in the   country,  particularly  the  Dangote   refinery,  over crude   oil  supply   are  getting  worse  due  to  lack of due diligence   on  the  part  of  the  refinery owners and   inability.  of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) to enforce   the  National  Crude Oil Supply Obligations (DCSO).

Meanwhile, the   Nigerian  Labour Congress (NLC) has called for an immediate   withdrawal  of the new tariff hike by   the  electricity   distribution  companies  (DisCOs), saying it would   cause  further damage to the economy.
