Through official channels, Saudi Women's Premier League club Al-Ittihad have announced the signing of four-time world champion Francisca Ordega, marking a new chapter in her illustrious career.
The 31-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Saudi club as a free agent after her contract with Russian club CSKA Moscow expired.
Ordega's move to Al Ittihad Ladies Club reunites her with her Nigerian counterpart, Ashleigh Plumptre, who also plays for the Saudi club.
The veteran striker's wealth of experience and goal-scoring ability will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to her new team.
During her time at CSKA Moscow, Ordega enjoyed a successful spell, playing 84 games, scoring 29 goals and providing 20 assists. Her impressive performances have helped the team win several accolades, including two Russian Cup titles, four Super League silver medals and a Super Cup victory.
Ordega's departure from CSKA Moscow marked the end of a successful chapter in her career, but the Nigerian striker has now taken on a new challenge in the Middle East.
