The Federal Government of Nigeria  is ready to  collaborate with the World Economic Forum (WEF) on the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline (AAGP) project to connect Nigeria  with Morocco and other African  countries, thereby enhancing regional energy security and economic  growth.
The announcement was made by the  Presidential Spokesperson, Stanley  Nkwocha, on his official  Twitter handle on Friday, following a bilateral meeting between Vice President Kashim Shettima and the President of the World Economic Forum (WEF),  Mr. Borgu Brende.
The meeting took place in  Davos, Switzerland during the WEF annual  conference.
The vice president also stressed that the pipeline  will transport natural gas from Nigeria to North Africa and  Europe, which is expected to improve energy security and economic growth in the  region.
"We look forward to your  cooperation in  key areas. One  of them is the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline (AAGP) which  connects Nigeria  with Morocco and other African countries. The pipeline will transport natural gas from Nigeria to North Africa and Europe and is expected to improve energy security and economic growth in the  region.

"With the geopolitical challenges in Europe  related to the Russian gas  issues and the  growing demand for energy  due to artificial intelligence, data mining and storage, we will be in a  favorable position to take advantage of this  opportunity.
"Many coastal states in West Africa  that have discovered gas are more than willing to  connect to the system and  supply gas to other end users. We are also exploring the  passage area of  the submarine pipeline so that everyone wins. "We want to use the WEF  platform," he  said. Shettima noted that several West African states with gas reserves are  willing to connect to the pipeline system, highlighting plans to explore undersea routes for  mutual benefits.
