A Cochrane resident has been charged in connection with a home that was hit by gunfire early Sunday morning.

Shortly after 3 a.m., Cochrane RCMP received reports of shots fired at a residence in the Glendale subdivision of Cochrane.
Upon arrival, police were able to determine that the home had been hit by an air rifle or slingshot.
When a resident went outside to investigate, he was shot but not injured.
A 35-year-old Cochrane resident has been charged with assault and battery. The suspect was released on bail pending a future court date in Cochrane.
