Tiffany Lizée, Global Calgary's Chief Meteorologist, will join the Global Calgary and Lethbridge evening newscasts beginning January 13, 2025.
She is already a familiar face to Albertans, known for presenting her daily weather forecast on Calgary's most popular morning show, Global News Morning.
Chief Meteorologist Tiffany Lizée will now share her decade of experience with even more viewers when she joins Global Calgary's evening newscast rotation.
"I am beyond excited to bring my enthusiasm, passion and experience as a meteorologist to our evening newscasts," said Lizée.
"While I have big shoes to fill, I look forward to bringing a new energy to Global News at 5 and Global News Hour at 6. "I am truly honored to be able to provide our viewers with accurate and reliable weather forecasts for many years to come."
Growing up on a farm in southern Saskatchewan helped Lizée become obsessed with weather from a young age, giving her firsthand knowledge of the importance of weather forecasting and the profound impact of climate change on the agricultural landscape.
In the winter, you'll find her ice fishing, hitting the ski slopes, or lacing up her skates.
"Tiffany is one of our network's most passionate weather personalities and we're thrilled to welcome her to our flagship show," said Carmela Gentile, News Director for Calgary and Lethbridge.
"Since leaving Global Regina to join our team in Calgary, she's worn many hats, including community reporter and digital journalist, and for the past few years, she's been one of the trusted faces of Calgarians who want to see you wake up. Their dedication and perseverance are exemplified by their exceptional work. »
