NDLEA secures 133 convictions in Kwara, seizes 2642 kilograms of drugs
The Kwara State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has said it secured one hundred and thirty-three convictions in 2024.
The Commandant of the agency, Fatima Popoola, disclosed this while briefing journalists on the agency's activities in Kwara State in 2024. Out of the 133 convictions, 123 are males and 10 are females.
Nine hundred and twenty-nine persons, comprising 839 males and 90 females, were arrested.
Popoola said 22 persons were rehabilitated at the agency's Drug Demand Reduction Unit and reintegrated with their families. She also indicated that the agency also seized two thousand six hundred and forty two kilograms of drugs.
Cannabis tops the list of seized drugs with one thousand four hundred and fifty five kilometers.
