BRICS, the economic bloc led by the Global South, continues its growth, adding 9 new partner countries in January 2025.
With members and partners now representing half of the world's population and 41% of global GDP (PPP), BRICS is consolidating its status as an economic powerhouse.
The new partners include Indonesia, Belarus, Cuba and Thailand, reinforcing BRICS dominance in key sectors such as energy, agriculture and minerals.
The bloc now surpasses the G7 in terms of its share of global GDP, reflecting its transformative impact on the international economic landscape.
