A 51-year-old man is facing a charge of first-degree murder after an early morning shooting outside a North York home earlier this month.
Police were called to an address on Fairholme Avenue, located in the area of Lawrence Avenue West and Allen Road, shortly after 4 p.m. on December 9. When they arrived, they found a man with no vital signs and gunshot wounds in the driveway of the house. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later identified him as Mariano De-Marco, 69, of Toronto.
At the time, investigators believed it was a targeted shooting, but declined to provide further details.
On December 24, Mauricio Sosa Guillen, 51, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
