Bashar al-Assad's army had naval vessels carrying dozens of sea-to-sea missiles with huge payloads that could strike up to 200 km away, but Israeli missile ships destroyed them. As part of its effort to eliminate the weapons Syria's military had left behind after President Bashar al-Assad was overthrown, Israel targeted Syria's naval and other military installations overnight.
