The Windsor Police Service has issued an arrest warrant for a 29-year-old woman wanted in connection with an ongoing bank fraud investigation.
China Jade Lam of Markham is wanted by the Windsor Police Service for fraud over $5,000, obtaining false documents over $5,000, using a false document, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
She is described as a slim Asian woman with long, dark hair and brown eyes.
The Windsor Police Service's Financial Crimes Unit said two suspects artificially inflated a synthetic bank account by depositing an allegedly fraudulent check and then withdrawing the forged balance through ATM withdrawals and account transfers.
Another suspect, Elias Ethan Miazad, 42, of Ancaster, Ontario. was arrested in Niagara Falls by the Ontario Provincial Police on October 21.
