Region of Peel: In connection with a sexual assault investigation, investigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit are asking for the public's help. An unidentified suspect volunteered to drive a 21-year-old lady to a bus stop at Airport Road and Humberwest Parkway in the City of Brampton on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 6:45 a.m.
The woman was reportedly sexually abused by the suspect after he drove her to the vicinity of Countryside Drive and Airport Road in the City of Brampton. The suspect is described as a male South Asian who is between the ages of 20 and 25. He has medium to muscular build, short black hair, and a black short beard. The suspect car is said to be a more recent 4-door model sedan. Investigators are asking anyone who has dashcam footage from the aforementioned area between 6:40 and 8:30 a.m. to come forward. The public is being advised by the police not to accept any unsolicited offers of transportation from strangers. Investigators from the Special Victims Unit are asking anyone with information about this event to call them at 905-453-2121, extension 3460.
