BC's RCMP have taken down a gang connected to the Mexican drug cartel. At the group's tightly guarded headquarters in Surrey, British Columbia (specific location not provided), police confiscated firearms and drugs.
Three people who were suspected of bringing cocaine into Canada were taken into custody: two Canadian citizens and a Mexican national with connections to local gangs. Since then, all three have been made available. Since the accused have not yet been charged, police have declined to name them.
According to the police, steel gates, razor wire, and compound fencing around the Surrey home where the search warrant was carried out. Video and audio monitoring systems were installed on the exterior and inside of the house, and metal shutters completely covered the access doors.
