VIDEO: Tinubu Travels to Saudi Arabia for the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit
In preparation for the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, which is scheduled to start on Monday, November 11, 2024, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu landed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday.
Current Middle Eastern issues will be the main topic of the summit, which is being hosted by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Nigeria has called for an urgent truce and a peaceful conclusion to the continuing Israel-Palestinian crisis, which Tinubu is anticipated to address, according to a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. In order to bring about enduring peace in the area, he would also push for the revival of the two-state solution.
Key officials accompany the president, such as National Security Advisor Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and Minister of Information and National Orientation; and the National Intelligence Agency's Director General, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed.
Tinubu will return to Abuja after the summit.
