Revealing the Pattern of Aggression and Misinformation in India-Sponsored Hindutva Violence in Brampton
Brazil's Brampton A startling display of #India's #Hindutva fanaticism emerged in a troubling sequence of events that transpired in Brampton, mirroring the strategies employed against #Minorities in India itself. The violence was a planned attempt to frighten and mislead the Sikh community in Canada, not a singular occurrence.
The Chaos Chronology
1) The incident started outside the Hindu Sabha Temple, where Sikhs had staged a nonviolent demonstration against the use of places of worship for Indian consular operations, which they claim are carried out to track down and identify Sikh activists who have spoken out against the Khalistan vote. The demonstration was limited to the space next to the temple's perimeter to prevent any disturbances to the activities or access to the temple.
2) However, when a group of perhaps 15 to 20 hostile Indian #Hindu extremists appeared from the temple parking lot, the scene became more heated. Their initial chants of "Jai Sree Ram" soon turned into hateful taunts directed at Khalistan activists. They extolled state-sponsored brutality against Sikhs, including the killing of Sidhu Moosewala and the death of Shaheed Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
3) One of these radicals physically attacked a Khalistani activist in a blatant display of violence, which sparked an instant escalation in which the mob attacked Sikhs with sticks and iron rods, indiscriminately targeting women and the elderly.
4) The #Indianradicals withdrew back into the temple parking lot after the initial altercation, where they or their accomplices shrewdly captured only the section where the Sikhs were retaliating, excluding the #Hindutva group's initial violence and provocation.
5) This modified tape, which depicted #Sikhs as the aggressors, went viral and was avidly embraced by international lobbyists, Indian media, and social media disinformation networks.
6) The altered version has mostly been disregarded, despite the fact that the complete video evidence, which offers context, clearly depicts the events that transpired and the defensive measures taken by the Sikhs.
7) Indian Hindu radicals planned a protest the next day, sparked by hate speech and misinformation from individuals such as members of the VHP, the RSS, the temple president, Ron Banerjee, and the temple priest. Targeting not only Sikhs but also Canadian citizens and law officers, this demonstration descended into violence.
8)Armed with iron rods, swords, trishuls, and even a rifle, the crowd proceeded towards the #Malton Gurdwara, obviously intending to carry out more acts of violence. However, they were confronted by a sizable Sikh defence force and were ultimately driven out by the police.
An Appeal for Action
By spreading the complete, unaltered truth, the Sikh and Khalistani communities need to aggressively refute this lie. These acts of terrorism and international repression, which are being supported by individuals within India, must be exposed. The world needs to understand that falsely accusing activists of being terrorists is a strategy employed to suppress free speech and opposition to repressive laws.
