FOILED PLOT: DESTROYING NASHVILLE ENERGY FACILITY WITH A MASS DESTRUCTION WEAPON
Federal charges have been brought against 24-year-old Skyler Philippi of Tennessee for allegedly planning to use an explosive-laden drone to damage an energy facility in Nashville in order to further his white nationalist beliefs.
According to DOJ, he told an FBI source about his objectives, including attacking substations to "shock the system." Armed explosives and a motorized drone were used to apprehend Philippi.
He might be sentenced to life in jail if found guilty.
