On October 25, 2024, Canadian Imam Munir El-Kassem spoke on Friday at the Islamic Centre of Southwest Ontario in London about the lessons that might be drawn from the passing of Hamas commander Yahya Sinwar. Sinwar was selected to "spend eternity" with Allah, he claimed. El-Kassem went on to claim that Sinwar was imparting a "wonderful lesson," never to give up, when he hurled a stick at the drone that was about to murder him because "who said that death was a symbol of defeat?" He went on to say that Sinwar saw Paradise before him as he was dying. The mosque's YouTube account broadcast the speech live.
Munir El-Kassam: "Allah stated in the Quran, 'Do not consider those who have been killed in Allah's path as dead,' when Yahya Sinwar was selected to go and spend eternity with Allah... and he is still very much alive. Instead, they are receiving provision and living with their Lord. He is still very much alive.
Although the Israelites penetrated the Al-Aqsa Mosque's grounds, the area is now under water, and floods drown people. Al-Aqsa will be pristine after the river drowns them!
"So, when it came to Yahya Sinwar, the angels of mercy who were with the Angel of Death, he knew what a stick would do to a machine, a drone, that was approaching him with artificial intelligence and that he already knew was going to hit him, but he threw that stick at it. He was bleeding, struggling with the throws of death, and experiencing the intense pain of his condition.
"Abu Ibrahim [Sinwar] taught us a very lovely lesson. What a lovely lesson. Helplessness is not for us, so we cannot feel it. A stick can even get in the way of a drone. You may claim that he passed away, but who said that death is a sign of defeat? Who made that statement? Death is a transition. Although we are unable to see it, he was witnessing Paradise before him. He observed, "Your sight is sharp today since we removed your cover."m11518g.avifm11518e.avifm11518f.avif
