The public is being asked once more to assist the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) in apprehending Timloh "Butchang" Nkem, who is considered to be the city's most wanted person.
After being sexually assaulted on January 1st of that year, Nkem went on the run.
According to police, he did not show up for his sentencing on October 31, 2014, which is why a warrant was issued for the entire country.
"Investigators from the SPS's Sex Crimes Unit have pursued those leads, looking for Nkem throughout various provinces and in his native Africa," the SPS stated.
Nkem is characterized as having brown eyes and black hair, standing five feet, eleven inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds.
It is requested that anyone with information about Nkem contact the police or crime stoppers.

A Nigerian has been listed as wanted by the International Police (Interpol) for rape.
The Canadian police are searching for Timloh Butchang Nkem, who on January 1, 2012, sexually assaulted a female student at the University of Saskatchewan.
According to Kathy Mahar, a mother claiming to be the victim's mother, he was detained, tried, and found guilty of rape but managed to avoid punishment.
Nkem was the subject of charges on December 13, 2012.
Early in June 2014, during the accused's trial, the victim provided testimony. On September 16, 2014, the accused was convicted guilty of sexual assault.
He is thought to be the son of Timloh B. Nkem, a Nigerian ambassador.
The person who was suspected was regarded as abhorrent and a danger to every person.
Writing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, is myself, Kathy Mahar. My writing today is motivated by my thoughts about Timloh Butchang Nkem. Timloh was found guilty of drugging my daughter at The University of Saskatchewan Residence on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day 2011–12, and then raping her.
Timloh may have used a fake PassPort to re-enter Nigeria prior to his punishment.
In addition to being a violent offender, he has convictions for fraud, identity theft, possession of illegal substances, and multiple credit card theft.
His actions are abhorrent and endanger every citizen, regardless of gender. He raped and sodomied my daughter violently while she was unconscious.
You will discover a ton of news stories concerning him and the offences he did.
According to what we understand, Timloh B. Nkem, his father, has held many titles and positions with the Nigerian government, including diplomat.
Please help us locate the whereabouts of this dangerous man, rapist and thief.
We understand that Canada and Nigeria do not have an extradition agreement, but it is best for everyone if he is caught. If he used a false name to enter Nigeria, that proves his ongoing illegal activity.
