I was honoured to be selected two years ago today to head our conservative family and demonstrate that we can work together to create a more independent and powerful Alberta.
Like me, you were committed to building an Alberta that fulfills its obligations while also paving the way for ambitious future generations. An Alberta where we save money and pay off debts would give our kids opportunity rather than burden.
This is the place where we raise our children, making sure they are safe, proud of our heritage, and the house we are creating for them now.
You supported me when we stood up to Ottawa when they overreached into our territory and protected our provincial rights by upholding the Constitution.
I sincerely appreciate the faith you have bestowed upon me. The greatest honour of my life is to be your premier, and I will continue to lead with all of my love and devotion. I appreciate your gift and your faith in both myself and the Alberta that we all hold in such high regard.
