A homicide investigation is being made public by the Toronto Police Service.
Allegations state that:
At the Toronto South Detention Centre on Thursday, October 3, 2024, an inmate was beaten by another convict. The victim was taken to the hospital, where they later passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024.
The victim is a 69-year-old Toronto resident named Euplio Cusano.
Ivan Ademovic, 54, of Toronto, was charged on Sunday, October 6, 2024 with:
Manslaughter
On Monday, October 7, 2024, at 10 a.m., he is expected to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street in room 907
