A man from Nigeria took part in a nonviolent demonstration in Ghana against pollution, poor government, and water shortages. His sign said, "Gold For The Few, Destruction For Many."
His presence impressed and aroused curiosity in others. A few shook his hand, snapped pictures, and conducted interviews.
"We're all in this together," the man declared. Everyone is impacted by bad governance, but we can all work together to fix it."
The demonstrators in Ghana greeted him with open arms, realizing that their fight was a small part of a greater movement for equality and justice.
The presence of the Nigerian man demonstrated how individuals from many nations can come together in support of decent governance.
