The Leduc RCMP is urging residents to come forward with any surveillance footage that may aid in the investigation of a drive-by shooting incident that occurred on August 5, 2025, on Bluf Lane in Leduc. At approximately 6:40 a.m., authorities responded to reports of gunfire directed at a residence, resulting in bullet holes in the home and stray bullets hitting a neighboring property.

Preliminary investigations suggest that this incident is linked to a similar event that took place on August 4, 2025, at around 6:20 a.m., targeting the same residence. The General Investigation Section (GIS) of Leduc RCMP is leading the investigation and believes that both incidents were targeted and connected to the same individual(s).

Police have obtained images of the suspect vehicle, described as an older tan or gold Chevrolet Z71, with at least three individuals on board, including the shooter who was wearing a mask. Authorities are releasing these images to the public and are seeking assistance in identifying the vehicle and the suspects involved.

Residents in the area are encouraged to review their surveillance footage and report any sightings of the suspect vehicle or individuals. Anyone with information related to this investigation is urged to contact Leduc RCMP at 780-980-7267. Those who wish to remain anonymous can reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com, or via the "P3 Tips" app available on Apple and Google Play stores.

The Leduc RCMP is committed to ensuring public safety and bringing those responsible for these senseless acts to justice. By working together, we can help prevent further incidents and maintain a safe community for all.
