Government House Hosts Prestigious Medal Ceremony
Lieutenant Governor Joan Marie announced that His Honour presided over a medal ceremony at Government House this afternoon, where Dame Moya Greene was conferred a King Charles III Coronation Medal. This esteemed honor was accepted on behalf of The Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey, the 14th Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Dame Greene was recognized for her remarkable legacy of public service to both Canada and Newfoundland and Labrador, which has spanned several decades. Her selfless contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including being appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada and designated as Dame Commander of the British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2018.
