A devastating scene unfolded in Panorama City on Friday morning, July 12, when a homeless man made a heartbreaking discovery near a dumpster in a parking lot on Van Nuys Boulevard. The lifeless body of a toddler, believed to be between 3 and 5 years old, was found around 7 a.m. in the 8200 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, just south of Roscoe Boulevard.
The Los Angeles Police Department's Juvenile Division has taken the lead in investigating this heinous crime, reviewing nearby surveillance footage as part of their efforts to piece together what happened. According to eyewitnesses, a white vehicle was seen leaving the area around 4 a.m. The coroner is working to determine the cause of death.
