The first search, on May 29, 2025, at a home on Morris Avenue, led to the seizure of approximately 30 grams of cocaine, indications of drug trafficking, and prohibited weapons. Additionally, Canadian currency believed to be proceeds of crime was found. A 54-year-old Selkirk resident, Cameron Hemminger, was taken into custody and is facing charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of Prohibited Devices while being under Two Lifetime Prohibition Orders, as well as Possession for Purpose of Trafficking. Hemminger has been released with a future court date.

The second search, carried out on June 6, 2025, at a residence on McLean Avenue, resulted in the discovery of approximately 84 grams of cocaine, methamphetamine, and suspected fentanyl. Furthermore, a collection of weapons and ammunition, including a loaded prohibited firearm identified as stolen, were confiscated. The homeowner, 56-year-old Daniel Keep, was arrested and is now facing eight firearm-related offenses, along with Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking Fentanyl. Additionally, Keep has been charged with Failing to Comply with the Conditions of Release Order four times. As of the report, Keep remains in custody.

These seizures and arrests are part of the ongoing efforts by the Selkirk RCMP to address drug trafficking and related criminal activities in the area, contributing to community safety and enforcement of the law.
