Today, June 16th, 2025, the newly appointed Area Commander of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Ogunjemisi Tayo, paid a courtesy visit to the esteemed Grand Mufti of Yorubaland, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan, at his office in Iwo. This meeting was aimed at fostering collaboration between the police and the local community, with a focus on addressing the security challenges faced by Iwo and its environs.

ACP Tayo emphasized the importance of community engagement in achieving effective policing and expressed his desire to work closely with the Grand Mufti and his security wing, Al-Jayshu Islamy. He highlighted that the cooperation of religious leaders and their communities is essential in preventing and combating crime. The Grand Mufti, in turn, warmly received the Commander and pledged the full support of Islamic scholars and institutions in promoting peace, discipline, and moral values among the youth and residents of the area.

The discussion centered around the shared goal of maintaining law and order and the critical role that religious leaders play in guiding individuals away from criminal activities.
