I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my friend and humanitarian, Patrick O'Callaghan, over the weekend. He was an exceptional friend to countless individuals in this province. Whether it involved rugby, the Rainbow Riders, or The Gathering Place, Patrick consistently offered his assistance. This spirit of generosity is a significant factor in his recognition with the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador last fall. His relentless efforts to support others have contributed to making this province a better place. Today, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his wife, Paula, and their family.
