💡 Living Organisms Emit Light—Until Their Demise

In a pioneering research effort, scientists from the University of Calgary and Canada's National Research Council have validated that all living organisms, including humans, produce a subtle glow—referred to as ultraweak photon emission—that disappears upon death.

This luminescence is not visible to the naked eye but can be detected using highly sensitive cameras. It results from cellular stress, particularly due to reactive oxygen species—substances that our cells release when subjected to heat, toxins, or injury.

The researchers noted this occurrence in both mice and plants, finding that cells that are damaged or under stress emit more light than healthy cells. Once life ceases, this faint illumination completely dissipates.

This phenomenon, far from being mystical "auras," represents a tangible, quantifiable indicator of cellular activity—and its abrupt cessation delineates the boundary between life and death. This finding may eventually be applied in medicine and agriculture to non-invasively monitor health or stress levels in living tissues.

📸 Science previously regarded it as a fringe concept. Today, it illuminates the fundamental nature of life.
