These new members will be stationed at various police districts' front counters and at the Youthlink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre. The program, which began in 2013, serves as a stepping stone for those interested in a policing career, offering skills such as conflict resolution, effective communication, and legal knowledge. Additionally, Auxiliary Cadets gain leadership expertise and enhance their physical fitness during their tenure. The program's success is reflected in the over 400 applicants for the 19 available positions and the seven former cadets who have become police officers.
