The Lewisporte RCMP in Newfoundland and Labrador executed a search warrant on May 30, 2025, at a home in Stanhope, resulting in the seizure of various firearms, prohibited devices, and ammunition.
A 38-year-old man was later arrested in Lewisporte and is facing 45 charges related to the firearms, including careless use of a firearm, possession at an unauthorized place, failure to report destruction of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited device. The man is set to appear in court on Tuesday, and the investigation is ongoing with the possibility of additional charges.
