The Mining Marshals have conducted 28 clearance operations in high-risk areas, ensuring a strategic and intelligence-led approach to maintain operational standards and minimize casualties. The NSCDC's success in this area is attributed to the support of the Federal Government, the Ministries of Interior and Solid Minerals Development, and the leadership of the Corps' Commandant-General, Dr. Ahmed Audi. The operation has also seen a significant number of foreign nationals among the arrestees, highlighting the transnational nature of the issue. The NSCDC's mandate includes protecting mining communities and securing national resources, with a focus on reducing the negative impacts of unregulated mining.
