On Thursday, the 11th annual Pathfinders' Pumpkin Run, which took place from Tilbuster Station near Armidale to Sydney, concluded at Government House. This event marked the end of 6 months of voluntary efforts during which Pathfinders' young individuals cultivated, harvested, and prepared over 10 tonnes of pumpkins for those facing hardships.

The 'Run' - which featured mini-Pumpkin Runs - provided pumpkins and healthy pumpkin-based meals to shelters and non-profit community organizations in Inverell, Coffs Harbour, the mid North Coast, Newcastle, and Sydney.

And what was on the menu? Some of Pathfinders' own blues, butternuts, and jarrahdales:
For starters:
Pumpkin and cheddar fritters
Smoked butternut pumpkin puree and crumbled feta tart
Working up an appetite for:
Pumpkin and ricotta arancini
Sweet pumpkin pies
Not to miss for dessert:
Pumpkin spiced tarts with cream fraiche.
Thank you, Pathfinders
