Earlier this month, these recruits commenced their training in Lac La Biche as part of Troop 27 at the 2025 Western Conservation Law Enforcement Academy (WCLEA). Troop 27 comprises over 40 recruits along with numerous staff from various jurisdictional partners throughout Western Canada, including Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Yukon. Upon successful completion of their training, these 10 recruits will officially assume the role of fish and wildlife officers, dedicated to the conservation of Alberta's natural resources and the protection of its wildlife. We extend our best wishes to our new recruits and Troop 27 as they begin this important journey!
