Officials from the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 120 individuals suspected of internet fraud, consisting of 95 men and 25 women, across various locations in Lagos.

The arrests took place on Monday, May 19, 2025, after the EFCC acted on credible intelligence and conducted comprehensive surveillance related to the suspects' alleged involvement in cyber fraud. During the operation, authorities seized 26 luxury vehicles, high-value jewelry, smartphones, laptops, and numerous incriminating documents. The suspects are currently under investigation and will be brought to court once the inquiry is complete.
